Hi Kathy Bailey. I love them too. The non-professional production ones are the best. Silly things happen. Poignant things happen. Often because there are children involved who forget their lines or wander off stage or stare at the lights on the tree and forget to say their lines. It is all so dear and so much in the spirit of love and joy and affection that makes me so dotty over this season. Happy New Year to you and yours. Alice

The charm of them is when something doesn’t go according to plan. It’s a representation of how God is inclusive — and how we are NOT perfect.

Hi Caroline. No I haven’t read that book but I’m sure I’d love it. I used to read many such stories to my grandchildren at bedtime. I had a stack of Christmas stories and was always looking for a new one. I often regret they’ve grown too old for that ritual. Of course I could sneak in this Christmas Eve and tell it in a whisper while they sleep. I’d enjoy that. Have a wonderful holiday Caroline – the best holiday ever. Alice
