Now that they’re all adults, we go to a restaurant on Wed night, or Sat or Sun (never Black Friday) and while we’re waiting for food, we share our personal thanks. We love not having to cook or clean house or dress up. No last minute runs to the store for what we forgot (there was always something). In a way, I miss all that… but I don’t miss the hassles that went with it. We eat together. We’re happy. We hug goodbye and plan the next meeting. Same at Christmas. It’s been our tradition for about 15 years now. I wish you a very thankfuls-filled holiday.
